Hiking Trails: Garden of the Gods

Siamese Twins / Balanced Rock Trail -    Gradual ¾ mile loop beginning from the Trading Post or Springs Canyon Trailhead.   An approximate 150 foot vertical rise will take you to the famous Siamese Twins rock formation.

Scotsman / Buckskin Charlie Trails - Challenging 1 mile loop trail originating from the Scotsman Picnic Area.   This rolling and rocky trail provides excellent views of the Central Garden from a distance.

Perkins Central Garden Trail – Family friendly  1 ½ mile paved loop originating from the Main Parking Lot.  This trail is handicap accessible and has less than a 30 foot vertical gain.  Winding through the largest rock formations, this loop provides many photo opportunities. 

Chambers / Bretag/ Palmer Trail- Challenging 3 mile trail originating from the South Parking lot.  This rocky trail nearly circles the entire park and provides excellent views of many of the park’s rocks.  

Free Hiking Trail Maps are available at Garden of the Gods Trading Post.   When taking your dog along on any of the following trails, be sure your pet is on a 6-foot leash which is part of the Park rules.   You can find a designated off leash area  just south of Gateway Road, West of 30th Street, and east Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site.   Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
